I am a man from Indonesia with a diverse, multicultural background and I want very much to become a nursing professional here in America cultivating a career in Nursing Administration, putting my business development skills to work at the service of the nursing profession. I have a BS in Business Administration with a major in Finance from XXXX University, and an associate degree in business administration from XXXX College. I completed high school in Berlin, Germany. I am applying to XXXX University because this M.S. in Nursing Program is especially distinguished in the areas of Nursing in which I seek to excel, Administration and Leadership. I look forward to a full immersion in nursing theory and practice. I seek an advanced knowledge base and set of skills that is fully grounded in scientific research and the professional art of nursing.
I passionately believe in XXXX's mission to provide this level of professional education as necessary to meet the needs of complex and changing healthcare needs of our time and patient demands for optimum outcomes and quality. I am especially attracted to the fact that this degree program is designed to foster interdisciplinary collaborative skills and independent functioning within each specific area or concentration. My long-term goal is to become a top expert in nursing administration, and I look forward to having classes designed to facilitate the enhancement of student leadership skills.
I have spent a lot of time and effort learning how to manage my time wisely and this is my top priority and one of the greatest strengths that I will bring to the EL-MSN program. I plan to quit my job to dedicate all my time to success in the program. Also, for the last couple of years, I have spent hours each day reading professional journals, books, and articles about nursing and this is the primary reason I am a strong candidate for your program. This informal background has helped me to better understand the material to which I will be exposed in your program and digest the material better since I already have such extensive exposure to the material in this area. I have done a great deal of research concerning creative ideas for clinical fieldwork and I see this as especially important for the Nursing Leadership concentration since this area consists of supervised learning experiences and working with preceptors in a broad variety of settings, either in nursing service organizations or other closely related academic areas. I look forward preceptor.
I am a strong candidate for the MSN/Leadership career program because of the extensive background reading that I have done specifically in this area over the course of the last several years. Also, having spent several years studying, learning, and gaining daily practice in the care of my invalid father has helped prepare me, especially on a psychological level, for the clinical experiences that I will face as part of the program. I have an extensive background and training in business administration and leadership at the systems level that provides me with a good start on the development of the kinds of skills that I will need for a position in nursing administration and education. I believe that my healthcare experience caring for my father, combined with my business administration experience will help me to become an especially creative designer and administrator of work environments promoting professional nursing. I chose to apply to your program because of the way that it prepares nursing leaders to apply their skills across the healthcare continuum, including acute care settings and community-based agencies. I look forward to the opportunity to begin a professional staff position in patient education and further prove myself. It is my hope that, in time, I will make sufficient advancement professionally to become involved in strategic planning as well as case management positions.
I especially look forward to the ongoing development of my unique leadership qualities in a broad variety of clinical areas including adult and pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, adult and pediatric oncology, intensive care, emergency care, women's services, and comprehensive geriatric services. I am a good match for XXXX's emphasis on education as a lifelong process of active participation by nurses in learning activities, assisting in developing and maintaining their continuing competence, enhancing their professional practice, and supporting the achievement of their career goals. I see continuing competence as a hallmark of professionalism and a means by which a professional can be held accountable to their communities.
Thank you for considering my application to your distinguished MSN Program in Nursing Administration.
